First-hand experience of a first-class service
FD Systems - a Cardiff-based software consultancy - switched over to RBS in July 2006.
"We were looking to move to a new progressive bank, with more feeling and empathy for customers," explains Mark Elchells, FD Systems' Financial Controller. "RBS offered a modern facility to do banking and were more responsive - they were able to come and talk to you, rather than doing things remotely."
The switch was also simple. "It was very straightforward," he says. "We had one point of contact that kept us informed about what was going on. They took the whole process out of our hands."
The commercial potential represented by the RBS Group is a major attraction for many businesses that switch - and FD Systems was one of them. "The ability to make new contacts was a major plus point for the company. RBS come and talk to you and so you get to hear about other businesses in the locality".
Mark Elchells went on to explain: "Because RBS understand each business they work with, they can also make introductions between companies that could work for, or with, each other."
What's more, for many companies - including FD Systems - the fact that potential commercial partners bank with RBS is reassuring.
