With Business Banking Direct, you bank online, by post and over the phone. It could be perfect if there's not a branch nearby.
The benefit? We offer free banking on many standard transactions, and you could save a lot of time. However, you won't have a Business Relationship Manager.
(Most of our customers choose a service backed up by a local Business Relationship Manager - someone who can offer support, guidance and expert knowledge.)

Charges for additional services
Business Banking Direct will charge for additional services provided to you whether these relate directly to your account or not. The current charges for the most common additional services are detailed in this table.

These charges will normally be debited to your account when the service is provided or is otherwise agreed. We do not charge for issuing a letter to advise you of an unarranged overdraft. Any charges incurred by another bank on your behalf and claimed from us by that bank will be charged to you at the reciprocal Agency rate agreed between the two banks.

We only charge one Paid Referral Fee per day, even if more than one item is paid from your account on that day. The total fee for a calendar month, capped at £120 per month, will be debited to your account on the sixth business day of the month after the month in which the transactions took place. The Paid Referral Fee is payable in addition to interest. |
Making and Receiving International Payments
Please note that International Transactions carried out on your Business Banking Direct account(s) are classed as additional services and incur separate charges. For details of our international payments tariff, please contact Business Banking Direct on 0800 783 9777. For details of other services not included here, please contact Business Banking Direct. There may be a charge for time spent in providing non-standard banking services and in administering your account(s). Where applicable the fee for this will be advised to you prior to payment.
Charging summary
Transaction charges and charges for additional services are reviewed from time to time. If any changes are made, a revised tariff or other specific notification will be sent to you at least one month prior to the date of implementation. It is not our general policy to pay Legal and Valuation charges on transfer of security.
