Charges and fees
It is not our general policy to pay legal and valuation fee/charges on transfer of security.

| RBS Autopay – makes it easy for you to make regular payments, such as weekly wages | The charge to set up an initial ‘Autopay beneficiary library’, the list of people and accounts you want to make payments to is a minimum of £16.25 and a maximum of £81.25. We then charge you £3.25 for each addition or amendment to that list. If the instructions you give us are not valid, late, unscheduled or over your agreed limit, we will charge you £9 for each reason, on each occasion, up to a total of £18 for each instruction. |
These charges will normally be debited to your account when the service is provided. Any charges incurred by another bank on your behalf and claimed from us by that bank will be charged to you at the reciprocal agency rate agreed between the two banks. For details of charges for international services or other services not included here, please contact your local branch or Business Relationship Manager.
Unarranged borrowing
Unarranged borrowing will be charged at 29.5% per annum. You may also incur charges for any administration or monitoring costs associated with unarranged borrowing.
Unpaid Item Fee
An Unpaid Item Fee of £35 (subject to a maximum of £140 per day) will be payable if:
- you informally request an overdraft by issuing instructions for a withdrawal or other payment; and
- the payment cannot be met from the funds in your account or any unused arranged overdraft; and
- we decide in our discretion not to make the payment.
The fee is charged on the day we decide not to make the payment.
Paid Referral Fee
A Paid Referral Fee of £30 will be payable if:
- you informally request an overdraft by issuing instructions for a withdrawal or other payment; and
- the payment cannot be met from the funds in your account or any unused arranged overdraft; and
- we decide in our discretion to make the payment so that an unarranged overdraft is created or increased.
We only charge one Paid Referral Fee per day, even if more than one item is paid from your account on that day. The total fee for a calendar month, capped at £120 per month, will be debited to your account on the sixth business day of the month after the month in which the transactions took place. The Paid Referral Fee is payable in addition to interest.
